It has been another incredibly busy and productive week for our GCCT English Learning Classes.

Throughout the week ending 11 October 2026, we continued to see strong attendance and enthusiastic participation from learners who are dedicating their time to improving their English language skills. It is wonderful to see participants becoming more confident in everyday conversations, actively engaging in lessons, and supporting one another throughout their learning journey.

The growing interest in our English classes highlights the importance of providing accessible learning opportunities within our community. Beyond improving communication skills, these classes help participants build confidence, develop friendships, and become more connected with the wider community. We are proud of the commitment shown by our learners and the positive progress being made each week.

Another busy and enjoyable week of community activities at Good Care Community Trust.

Throughout the week ending 11 October 2026, our members continued coming together for regular activities, group sessions, social gatherings, and meaningful conversations. These activities provide valuable opportunities for people to connect, share experiences, build friendships, and enjoy quality time in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Our community programmes continue to play an important role in promoting wellbeing, reducing social isolation, and strengthening relationships among our members. With the school holidays continuing, Good Care Community Trust remained committed to supporting local families and tamariki through our ongoing food assistance programmes.

During the week ending 11 October 2026, our team prepared and distributed 7 food parcels to families in need, helping ease some of the financial pressure that school holidays can place on households. We also continued supporting Tiny Stars Kindy in Ōtara with a food delivery, ensuring their young learners have access to nutritious food and essential supplies.

Although regular school breakfast deliveries are paused during the holidays, our commitment to the community remains unchanged. Every food parcel and delivery represents an opportunity to provide practical assistance, support family wellbeing, and remind those facing difficult circumstances that they are not alone.
