It has been another busy and uplifting week at the centre as we head into the final days before Christmas. Members continued to come together for the usual activities, sharing conversations, laughter and support. The festive season has added an extra sense of warmth, with everyone enjoying the chance to connect and reflect on the year that has been.

These moments remind us how important it is to have a welcoming space where people feel valued and included, especially at this time of year. The centre continues to be a place of comfort, friendship and community spirit as we move closer to Christmas.

The centre was busy once again this week with plenty of activity and great interaction among our members. From shared conversations to creative sessions and day-to-day support, everyone brought positive energy that made the space feel warm and welcoming.

Our English classes also had a strong turnout. Members are continuing to practise with commitment and enthusiasm, showing steady improvement each week. The sessions are filled with laughter, learning and encouragement as everyone works together to build confidence and new skills.

We are absolutely thrilled and deeply moved to share this wonderful letter of gratitude we received from Flat Bush School, Otara. Their message highlights just how meaningful this year’s generous food donations have been for their entire school community.

The support has helped strengthen several important areas of school life, including their:

• Breakfast Club

• Samoan Bilingual Unit

• School Events

A special shout-out and congratulations to our team. The school praised Rohail for his consistent, regular and prompt deliveries throughout the year. Thank you, Rohail, for always being friendly, reliable and accommodating.

This is what true community partnership looks like. Thank you to everyone who supports the Good Care Community Trust and helps us nourish students and whānau. Together, we are ensuring tamariki begin their day well-fed, confident and ready to learn.

Kia angitu tātou katoa – Success for all.
