Weekly Activities and English Classes – Week Ending 9 November

It has been another busy week at the centre filled with activities, good company and plenty of positive energy. Members continue to take part in creative sessions, group discussions and shared meals that bring everyone together. The laughter and conversation remind us of how important it is to stay connected and engaged.

Our English classes also ran smoothly this week with strong attendance and enthusiasm. Members are showing steady progress and growing confidence as they practice reading, writing and speaking. The learning environment remains supportive and encouraging, with everyone helping one another and celebrating small victories along the way.

East Tamaki Primary School – Learning and Baking Together

It was another busy morning at East Tamaki Primary School, Otara, with breakfast food delivered by the Good Care Community Trust. The children were excited to not only enjoy their healthy breakfast but also to learn some baking skills using the ingredients provided.

Seeing the tamariki working together, mixing, baking and sharing what they made was a true highlight. These activities go beyond food; they build confidence, creativity and teamwork, helping students learn valuable life skills in a fun and engaging way.
