It has been a busy and lively week at the centre, filled with great conversations, creative ideas, and plenty of laughter. Members continue to bring enthusiasm and positivity to every gathering, turning ordinary days into memorable moments of friendship and support.

Our English learning classes were also buzzing with activity. The consistent participation and genuine effort from members are making a clear difference. Confidence is growing, communication is improving, and it is inspiring to see learners helping one another succeed.

The dedication of both members and volunteers keeps our community strong and thriving. Each week reminds us how powerful shared learning and genuine connection can be.

A wonderful sight at East Tamaki Primary School this week. The tamariki were busy preparing and serving breakfast using the food supplied by GCCT. The energy, teamwork, and laughter filled the room as everyone took part in making the morning special.

It is heartwarming to see students not only enjoying a healthy meal but also learning important values like responsibility, cooperation, and kindness. These simple daily moments create strong habits that go far beyond the classroom.

We are proud to stand beside schools like East Tamaki Primary, where community and care are always at the heart of learning.

Fuelling Futures in South Auckland

The Good Care Community Trust is proud to support the ongoing success of our free healthy breakfast program for low-decile schools across South Auckland.

Every morning, hundreds of tamariki start their school day with a nutritious, energy-boosting breakfast. This simple act creates a powerful ripple effect:

For Children: Improved concentration, better learning outcomes, and a happy, healthy start to the day. No child should ever learn on an empty stomach.

For Schools: Reduced hunger-related behavioural challenges and a more focused learning environment that supports our dedicated teachers. The program is also helping schools maintain stronger attendance rates.

For the Community: Strengthening whānau connections and fostering a culture of care and support. We are investing in the health and potential of our future leaders.

A huge thank you to our amazing team for helping us nurture the next generation. Together, we are building a stronger, healthier South Auckland.
