Matariki is a time to reflect, celebrate, and come together as one community.
We were honoured to support Takanini School’s Matariki Breakfast, helping provide food for more than 500 students, whānau, and community members during this year’s celebration.
Receiving a heartfelt letter from Thomas Jack, Cultural Leader at Takanini School, made this experience even more meaningful. Hearing that the event was filled with connection, joy, and a wonderful sense of community reminds us of the impact that partnerships like these can have.
From sausages and hash browns to samosas and spring rolls, it was fantastic to know everyone enjoyed the breakfast together while celebrating the Māori New Year.
A sincere thank you to Takanini School for allowing us to be part of such a special occasion, and to our volunteers and supporters whose generosity makes these community events possible.
