A Heartwarming Visit from Avinash Kaur – Otara-Papatoetoe Local Board

On 30 April, Good Care Community Trust had the pleasure of welcoming Avinash Kaur, a respected member of the Ōtara-Papatoetoe Local Board, to our centre.
During her visit, Avinash spent time with our senior citizens, observing the warmth, laughter, and sense of togetherness that fills our space each day. She witnessed our members engaging in conversations, enjoying games, and simply relishing the joy of community — a welcome contrast to isolation.
In her own words:
“It was heartwarming to see them sitting together, chatting, and playing games. So beautiful to see them enjoying each other’s company instead of being home alone. Community together makes a difference!”
We truly appreciated her visit and her kind words, which remind us why spaces like GCCT are essential — to create connection, combat loneliness, and uplift our community.
