Today, Good Care Community Trust hosted a special workshop in collaboration with the New Zealand Police, focusing on the key challenges faced by the elderly in our community.
The session covered a range of essential topics:
1. Elder Abuse Awareness – Identifying and preventing financial, emotional, or physical abuse.
2. Scams and Fraud Prevention – Tips on spotting scams and safeguarding personal information.
3. Community Safety – Guidance on how seniors can stay safe both at home and in public.
4. Mental Health – A conversation about loneliness, depression, and where to find support.
The workshop encouraged open dialogue, ensuring our elderly feel heard, supported, and protected. A heartfelt thank you to the New Zealand Police for their partnership and dedication to community wellbeing.
Together, we are building a safer, more informed space for our senior citizens.
