School Holiday Food Support | Week Ending 4 October 2026
With schools closed for the holidays, our regular breakfast delivery schedule may be quieter, but our support for the community certainly has not stopped.
We continued our food support for Tiny Stars Kindy in Ōtara, ensuring their tamariki still have access to nutritious food during the school holiday period.
The holidays can place additional pressure on families, particularly when children are at home and the normal routine of school based food support is unavailable. That is why our team has been busy preparing and distributing fresh food parcels to local parents and school children who need a helping hand.
This support helps ease pressure on household budgets while ensuring children continue to have access to nutritious food. It also provides families with the reassurance that their community is there to support them when things become difficult.
A huge thank you to our team, volunteers, donors, schools, and community partners who continue to make this possible. Together, we are looking after our families and strengthening our community.
